A Mormon's Guide to Judaism
Many members and missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have approached me in the Temple, at church meetings, or at firesides asking for information about Judaism. They want to understand the many facets of Jewish thought, worship, culture and history of these people so that they can better communicate with Jewish co-workers, neighbors and friends with greater knowledge and confidence.
Is it important? The scriptures and latter-day prophets say that it is. Ezra Taft Benson, one of the presidents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1985-1994) said "We need to know more about the Jews, and the Jews ought to know more about the Mormons."
